The establishment of Gosha-e-Durood at Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) has been a significant endeavor symbolizing reverence to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). This sacred space, inaugurated on December 1, 2005, by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, stands out as a devoted site for continuous prayers and salutations upon Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) throughout the year, operating non-stop, 24/7.

Pilgrims from various corners of the globe, including Pakistan, eagerly reserve their spots well in advance to partake in the spiritual ambiance of Gosha-e-Durood. Participants engage in prayers, observe fasts, and dedicate themselves to honoring the esteemed Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Residents of Gosha-e-Durood receive special certificates endorsed by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri to commemorate their stay.

Initially housed within the private office of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri at MQI's central secretariat, Gosha-e-Durood evolved into a purpose-built structure named 'Minara-tus-Salam', modeled after Maulana Rum's Holy Shrine.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri laid the cornerstone of Minara-tus-Salam on the 1st of Rabi-ul-Awwal in 2006, officially commencing construction on June 18, 2007. The construction was meticulously overseen by qualified engineers and construction professionals. Adjacent to the main edifice stands the Suffa Hall, offering supplementary facilities for visitors.
